Berlin Eyecare Associates opened in July of 1987, at the Berlin Circle Plaza, before moving to the corner of Haddon and Franklin Avenues in November 2001.
In November 2021, we welcome Dr. Sara Shissias O.D. F.A.A.O. and Dr. Nickolas Shissias O.D. to the practice. We will continue to provide quality care and be a mainstay for the community.

DR. NICKOLAS SHISSIAS, O.D.
Dr. Nick graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2013 and has focused on comprehensive eye care. Dr. Nick has taught students from Pennsylvania College of Optometry through their externship programs over the last several years. Prior to joining Berlin Eyecare he has worked in Ophthalmology and Optometry private practices, as well. Dr. Nick and Dr. Sara welcomed their son, Nathan, on 09/19/2022 and is our newest team member at Berlin Eyecare Associates. Dr. Nick has been a part of clinical research projects and is committed to providing quality, medically advanced care to his patients.
DR. SARA SHISSIAS, O.D. F.A.A.O
Dr. Sara graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2010 and completed a
residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation. She taught at Pennsylvania College of Optometry for three years and has continued to teach students through externship programs. Prior to joining Berlin Eyecare she has worked in other Ophthalmology and Optometry private practices. Dr. Sara and Dr. Nick's newborn, Nathan Shissias, has brought them and the practice wonderful joy and has replaced all previous time for hobbies. Dr. Sara has a large background and wealth of knowledge in regards to functional vision loss and is committed to providing attention, education, and up to date options to help restore quality of life. She has been a part of clinical research projects and aims to continue to expand the depths of treatment options for her patients.
DR. JOSEPH POTOSKY, O.D. FOUNDER OF BERLIN EYECARE ASSOCIATES
Dr. Joseph Potosky is an Optometric Physician. A graduate of Rutgers University and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, he has been in practice since 1982. Dr. Potosky is available to see patients but has been thrilled to have a husband and wife team of optometrists to continue to serve all of our wonderful patients and local communities.
Mike Kennedy, Optician and Rachel Chopel, Apprentice Optician
Mike has been an optician since 1977 and has been with Berlin Eyecare Associates since it has opened. Mike's phenomenal optical skill, know-how, and customer service make him an exceptional part of our team. He looks forward to taking care of your eyewear needs.
Rachel is a 2022 graduate of Camden County College. She joined Berlin Eyecare as Mike’s apprentice. In her spare time she enjoys attending concerts, reading books & cuddling cats. She looks forward to meeting you!
